When choosing corn at the grocery store, there's no need to peel back the husks to check for quality. Just pinch the tops, gently. If you feel a long point, it means the end is dried out or unformed. If the end feels stubby, you've found a good one.

Thank you for that hint! Just read another about cleaning the silks off! Use a soft, new toothbrush to help pull those pesky silks off! Yeah, corn season!!!!
