Christmas Hint #16 -- Make Your Own List for Santa

Another notebook item should be gift ideas for yourself and other family members. Anytime after Labor Day, when you hear someone on your list say “I’d like one of those,” make a note. If you have a smart phone, just text it to yourself, then file it later. This hint is especially useful if some of your family members are on painfully strict budgets. All year long you can jot down inexpensive items that you or other family members would like. Then, when someone asks you what you want for Christmas, instead of drawing a blank, you can pull out your list and offer some nice, affordable options. Also, if you are hard to buy for, stop buying anything for yourself after Labor Day, drop plenty of hints, then hope for the best on Christmas morning. If you don’t get what you want, shop for it yourself after the holidays. Almost everything goes on sale in January.

Here's an example of something I'd like for myself (I don't mind used or re-gifted items).
