2013 - The Year of the Snake!

2013 is the Year of the Snake per the Chinese Zodiac.  I found a few interesting little blurbs about Snakes...enjoy!

2013 is the year of the black Snake begins on February 10th shortly after the New moon in Aquarius, the humanitarian of the zodiac. This 2013 year of Snake is meant for steady progress and attention to detail. Focus and discipline will be necessary for you to achieve what you set out to create. The Snake is the sixth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal Signs. It is the enigmatic, intuitive, introspective, refined and collected of the Animals Signs. Ancient Chinese wisdom says a Snake in the house is a good omen because it means that your family will not starve.

Positive: The Snake can be amiable, compromising, fun-loving, altruistic, honorable, sympathetic, philosophical, charitable, a paragon of fashion, intuitive, discreet, diplomatic, amusing and sexy.

Negative: The Snake can also be self-righteous, imperious, judgmental, conniving, mendacious, grabby, clinging, pessimistic, fickle, haughty, ostentatious and a very sore loser.

This is a year of  water Snake, and all things will be possible.  Saving money and being thrifty should be your top priorities.  Delusion and deception are common in the year of water Snake.  Stay alert!  To gain the greatest benefits from this year, you must control spending and use your talents wisely.  If you are planning to get married or to begin a business partnership, be sure to thoroughly investigate the other person's finances and background before you legalize the alliance.
Babies born in the year of the snake are said to be lucky and insightful. The Snake is also said to be the most intuitive, introspective, refined and collected of all the animal signs.

One thing you can say about snakes -- they're never boring! I had a close encounter with a baby rattler one time. We scared each other so bad we started jumping and running in circles, trying to get out of each other's way. It was hilarious (after it was over that is). Good thing that was before the days of smart phones with video or it would have been all over Youtube and I'd still be trying to live it down.
