FAUX PEARL RHINESTONE EARRINGS OLD CLIP BACK FREE SHIPPING

These earrings are faux pearl and rhinestones. The little pearls are very nice and the rhinestones are nice and shiny! They have a clip back and are large in size, about 1 1/8” across. The center is a little bunch of the pearls with a rhinestone in the middle. These, I believe, are an older set. The clips have a little clear rubber round piece attached to protect the back of the ear! They are in excellent condition other than a little discoloration on the backs. The pictures really do not do them justice.

History of Handkerchiefs

New Page 2

Handkerchiefs

Have you ever wondered about the HISTORY of the humble
hankie? As you wipe the jelly from the face and hands of your toddler, soak your
perspiring face, cover your cough in church, watch rings sweetly and lovingly presented at
weddings--know that these tiny bits of cloth hold deeply held rich traditions in global
cultures.

The first mentions of handkerchiefs in poetry were by
Catullus (87-57 BC). He did not discuss their reasons for use (I suspect they were a
luxury), but look at the date! Ancient times--Before Christ.

Linen (made of cotten) was the preferred fabric, then folks
discovered how to spin flax into thread, and it became more cost effective.

There is an entire handkerchief culture; a number of folks
have devoted time and effort studying this tiny piece of cloth. They are small,
sometimes hand-made, pieces of history, highly collectible, low cost (usually), cross
collectible, offer all sorts of

This blog is not meant to be an exhaustive history, but
written get you thinking about the past use of these darling pieces of cloth.

Quick, Easy, Healthy Summer Snacks

When the weather gets hot, I hate to turn on the oven or spend any more time in the kitchen than necessary, but we still love healthy, homemade snacks. We do it with pancakes. Yup, pancakes. 1 bowl, 1 plate, 1 non-stick pan. All done and cleaned up in 30 minutes. Here are the recipes:

Banana/Strawberry/Blueberry Pancakes

Use the recipe for pancakes on the Heart Smart Bisquick box. Add bananas, fresh or frozen fruit and flax seed for Omega 3.

Spice Cake Banana Pancakes

Use the recipe for pancakes on the Heart Smart Bisquick box. Add bananas, Splenda, cinnamon, nutmeg, & cloves to taste, and flax seed for Omega 3.

We make our about sand dollar size. Freeze in batches, in plastic bags, between pieces of wax paper so they’ll separate easily. They keep for weeks (maybe longer) in the freezer, thaw in less than an hour, and they make great snacks to just eat cold with nothing on them.

Please visit my OLA House for great bargains that benefit the rescue animals.
