Hallmark Maxine Don't Worry, Be Crabby! Doll She is a soft, stuffed doll. Maxine is dressed as shown, with a straw hat, and wearing her familar shades and bunny slippers. She is carrying a blue gingham cloth bag that states, "DON'T WORRY, BE CRABBY!" Don't ya just love it!?! She is in good, smoke-free condition, as shown; no tags. She is approx. 16" long.

Homco 1985 Denim Days Bobbing for Apples 1527 NM With Box Tag

Home Interiors Denim Days Porcelain figurine titled, “Bobbing for Apples”. This figurine is in Near Mint Condition. The boy is missing the small tip of his left index finger. The finger tip is glazed, and happened at the factory before the glazing process, see picture. The figurine measures approximately 4 7/8 inches tall by 5 11/16 inches long by 3 5/16 inches wide.

The bottom is marked “‘DEMIN DAYS’ by ‘HOMCO’ copyright 1985 Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc. #1527 Crafted in China”. This figurine comes with the original tag and Styrofoam box which are in Excellent Condition and has been retaped over the original tape.

The box has “Bobbing for apples” written in blue ink on the side and a barcode label on the back that states, “1527”. The box still holds the figurine securely.

A Quick Twitter Lesson Using the Share Feature at OnlineAuction.com

Here is a quick 'Twitter for Dummies' lesson, and how to use it with OLA "Share" Feature:

1. Sign up for an account at TWITTER (takes no more than 5 minutes)
2. Go to any of your listings (do them all one at a time)
3. Hover your mouse over 'Share' (don't click 'share', or you'll have to search for Twitter, whereas it will be right there in the window if you just hover)
4. Click on Twitter (a window will open and it will be your Twitter account)
5. Click on "Update" (in the Twitter window)
6. Go back to your listing and refresh (be sure to look at how many views you have before you refresh)
7. Check out the views from just one Tweet!!! Those are actual views. Everyone single one means someone clicked on your link in Twitter and it brought them to your listing.

A WORD TO THE WISE: It is easy to get caught up in this form of advertising. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you only do a few at a time or you will be flagged for spamming. Yes, you are allowed to 'spam', but getting carried away is what you are not allowed to do.

SOME EXTRA INFO: You can do this for other OLA members! Every listing here at OLA has the "Share" feature. It works just like described above. FB Rogers Silverplate Salad Serving Set Spoon and Fork

This FB Rogers salad set is vintage.
The FB Rogers mark is clearly visible on
the back of each utensil.
The mark reads,
FB ROGERS ITALY.
There is no sterling mark,
which leads me to believe this salad set is silverplate.

It is in a simple, plain pattern,
with only a double scallop on the back of each utensil.

Excellent pre-owned condition,
with no scratches or dents.

Both the fork and the spoon measure
9 1/4 inches long
and 1 7/8 inches at the widest point.
Together, they weigh just over 4 ounces.

Royal China Currier and Ives Round Handle Cocoa Cups Mugs and Large Dinner Plates

I have sold some of the Royal China Currier & Ives dinnerware that I had listed, but I still have some very nice items of this dinnerware available.

I currently have a lot of Royal China Currier and Ives 8 Cocoa Mugs and 8 Saucers. These are not the usual cups with the angled handle. These cups are a bit bigger, and they have a curved handle-somewhat scarce to find. These cocoa mugs or cups are decorated with the Currier & Ives scene called "The Star of the Road". They are approx. 2-1/2" tall, and have a top diameter of approx. 3-3/4", and hold about 7 ounces. Each saucer measures approx. 6-1/4" in diameter, and feature the steamboat scene in the center, called "Low Water in the Mississippi". They are impressed USA on the bottom. All are in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing.


Also available are a lot of 8 Royal China Currier and Ives Dinner Plates, 10-1/2 inch diameter. These are not 10" plates, as are more commonly seen, but 10-1/2" diameter plates. These have the scrolled border, and are decorated in the center with the Currier & Ives scene called "The Old Grist Mill". They all have later Royal China stamps on the undersides.


Other items available include this Royal China Currier & Ives Lot - Pie Dish Tab Handled Platter and Soup Bowls . This lot is offered with free shipping, and it includes:

~two soup 8-1/4" bowls, scene on both is EARLY WINTER; both have the green Royal China backstamp

~one tab-handled 10-1/2" platter, scene is THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS; has the green Royal China backstamp

~one 10" pie dish or pie baker, scene is THE OLD GRIST MILL; it is impressed USA on the back

Nor’Easter Videos – A Personal Experience

Northeaster Storm or the Nor’ Easter.
What a mess and this is our personal experience. It always seems like the worst things happen when you are asleep.
I shot these very unprofessional video clips to chronicle specifically for this blog. Then life got in the way and I forgot. Till we got hit with another storm! And, another flood. Not the same kind of storm but unrelenting rains on an already saturated ground.
We are in a low area. We can do high tides on their own and we can handle ground saturation in a stand-alone situation. When we get both at the same time, forget it, it’s all over and the basement will flood. :(
This is a four-part video show.
Part One is of the heavy rains and standing water.




Part Two is of the 4 inches of water that arrived in the basement and a clip of the high water from the river covering the road into our neighborhood, making it impassible.

These are an estate sale find,
but they look brand new...
I'm guessing these were never used.
I find NO damage whatsoever.

Porcelain Dolls from Victorian Rose and Cameo Rose Holiday Collections

Available for purchase at www.onlineauction.com are two different beautiful porcelain dolls, both in their original packages. Both would make wonderful gifts for a loved one, or for a gift to yourself if you love to collect dolls!


The first is a set consisting of 2 Porcelain Dolls in Box from the Cameo Rose Holiday Collection. There is a large doll, and then there is a smaller dolly. Both are dressed in beautiful co-ordinating velvet and gold dresses. Behind them, there is a Christmas tree on the cardboard background. These dolls were designed by Melissa Jane, and dated 1997.


The second doll offered is a Porcelain Doll in Box from Victorian Rose Angel Collection . This doll is wearing a white lacey gown with gold accents. She has a golden snowflake-type ornament dangling from one wrist. She has gold-color angel wings, and she has lots of pretty curls. The box says this doll was a Limited Collectors' 1996 Edition.

Beautiful Westmoreland Paneled Grape dish. Authentic milk glass, this dish is footed with a shallow, scalloped side. Still has the sticker attached! Measures 9 ¼” X 5 7/8” high. For those that collect Westmoreland Glass or milk glass, this is a must! This would make a fantastic centerpiece!
