Thanksgiving. Ugh!!! or is it?

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Me? I’m stressing. But who isn’t. One of my stresses is that my son is now a vegetarian. Nothing wrong with that, but no turkey for him for Thanksgiving? That’s just wrong. LOL!!! Fortunately, he has a friend coming and she’s bring tofurkey!!! What exactly is that? I’m not sure I want to know.

Other than that, my big sister is coming with her husband. Don’t get me wrong, I love my sister. But, she stresses me. I’m almost 50 and she still insists on playing “big sis”. Every year I THINK I’m old enough to say, “hey I’m an adult now”, but I guess not. It’s okay. I know she’s just watching out for her lil sis.

Then there’s my sister-in-law. I’ve always felt rather inferior to her for some reason, but she’ll be here. I handle that just about the same way I handle my sister…..see above.

Actually, I was just thinking it could be interesting to have them both in the same house for a few hours. I can’t remember the last time that happened. Probably at my wedding 23 years ago!!! Maybe this day won’t be so bad after all. Could be entertaining!!!!

So, after the stresses of that day are over, there’s BLACK FRIDAY and CYBER MONDAY!!!! What better way to de-stress than to shop on I can’t think of one. So maybe we’ll see you all there and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!!! Feel free to share your stresses!!!!!

Just going to be the two of us this year and that's fine...we still enjoy each other, cooking, decorating, etc. When your babies get married there is another set of parents to visit. We will get Christmas. We decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving which would be a fun thing for everyone to do on Thanksgiving day. Be thankful..have a warm wonderful day:)

Momo, would you be so kind to let us know what the tofurkey was like after the holiday? You are going to cook a real turkey aren't you?

This is funny because we just watched a documentary on "how it's made" and it was about Tofurkey. Not so sure I want to try it. I love real meat .....a lot

Hey, Karen, just got away from my "big" sis!! Don't envy you!! What is it about big sis that she always has to have the last word???

You have a super Thanksgiving!! Even if you have potato soup!! Enjoy each others company . . . . that's the most important thing!!

And if I can make a pie crust out of 4 bean flour, maybe the Tofurkey won't be too bad!!

I am most certainly making a REAL turkey. Let the kids eat the tofu stuff. But I might try it just to let you know how it was. :)
