HEART MOTHER AND INFANT 14K GOLD WITH DIAMOND PENDANT and 18 inch CHAIN

Heart Shaped Mother and infant 14K Gold with Diamond Pendant with 14K Gold chain. The Pendant is in Very Good Condition with light wear. According to my Jeweler, the Diamond is a single cut 3 point diamond. The back of the pendant is marked, “14K”, and what appears to be 585, see picture. The pendant measures approximately ¾ of an inch tall by 9/16 of an inch wide. I added this chain, it is not original to this pendant. The chain is in Excellent Condition, approximately 18 inches long, and is marked, “ITALY S S 14K.” The clasp is marked, “1/20 12Kt GF”, see picture. This pendant and chain weighs approximately 3 grams and would make a wonderful addition to your Gold Jewelry Collection. Set of 4 Wooden Corn on the Cob Holders Exotic Hardwood WHS

Up for sale is this wonderful set of 4 Corn on the Cob dishes/holders. They are made of some type of exotic hardwood it appears. They are beautiful!

We added 4 wood handled corn stickers. This is what we always called them when we were growing up?? They are for putting into the end of the Corn on the Cob so that you can hold the cob & eat it without burning your fingers on the hot corn. Great invention!! These were not part of the original set but we wanted to add them.

These are all used. They are in nice good usable condition. There are a few nicks and scratches here & there but nothing big. There are no cracks or chips in the wood. The grain pattern is beautiful.

Each cob holder is just over 9" in length x about 3 1/4" wide. These are very nice! You will not be disappointed.

Green Crackle Glass Cruet with Double Ball Stopper

I think this gorgeous
crackle glass cruet
is from the Rainbow Glass Co.
There is no sticker,
but it was common practice
years ago to remove the
stickers from the bottom.
It is the stopper that led
me to Rainbow Glass,
as this particular style
was offered by their company.

This cruet is in excellent vintage condition!
I find no chips or breaks, and no evidence of any prior repairs.
A beautiful collector piece.
It is green... I'd call it an emerald green.

Marcrest Brown Daisy and Dot Sugar Bowl with Lid

Marcrest (or more accurately spelled, Mar-crest) DAISY AND DOT is the name of a brown pottery dinnerware line, made in the 1950s-1960s. As collectors know, the Daisy and Dot line was made by Western Stoneware, with some pieces made by Hull Pottery. This charming pattern consists of alternating daisy flowers and dots, hence the name. There is a wonderful website devoted to this pattern, complete with pictures showing the variety of brown pieces done in this line, as well as pictures of some of the scarcer colors other than the brown.

Garden History - Chapter 6

Early Front Yard Photo

This is a snapshot of our Craftsman home about 4 or 5 years after we moved in. When we planted the Italian Cypress in the front of the house it was only four feet tall. The other tree (I believe a different type of Cypress) on the left was very “gnarley” when it got older and we finally had to take it down. I replaced it with a Gardenia (something I will be able to maintain).

A former owner had planted a Blue Spruce tree on the property line between the two houses and it had grown toward the sun. It was unsightly with its “L” shaped trunk so this was removed and we replaced it with a tiny, maybe a foot tall, Cedar tree that a friend of ours gave us from the golf course.

At the base of the driveway we planted a low growing Juniper. It would never be too big to impair my vision for exiting the driveway but would forever be green and needs very little water. Plus, visitors entering and exiting the driveway can drive over it and it will come back! Dogs and cats don’t like it much either, lol.

We bought all the, salmon colored, Azaleas from the GEAS Club we belong to. They sold them for cost that year, left overs from a parade. That is what you see all along the driveway path. There is a hydrangea at the base because the neighborhood pets kept urinating on the azealeas. hydrangea seems to resist the pet problem better. I put the hydrangea and azealeas on the other side of the lawn as well.
