Make a mystery game out of gift giving when it’s obvious who’s doing the giving. When a whole pile of presents come from Dad, Mom, Mom & Dad, or Dad & Mom, it gets boring. Try putting a clue on the gift tag and making the recipient guess what’s inside. For example, a telescope might be “From: The Solar System” or a pair of socks “From: The Piggy Who Went To Market.” This is really fun when the presents stay under the tree for a while and the kids will be rummaging and guessing anyway.
