MY BABIES

This blog is about my two pomeranians and how they travel. Some pets are hard to travel with, but not ours.

We have a town and country van which is a "stow and go". We put the seat down flat behind my seat and put a big pet crate in there. Our babies travel so well in it as it has a beach towel draped over the top and down two sides which makes them feel secure. They get fresh air through the front and back and if the air conditioner or heater are on they get that also without it hitting them directly.

We walk them at rest areas. Give them food and water which means we either get off at the next rest area or a service station that has grass around it as the little ones can only hold it for so long.

They do not bark when we stop to eat and we leave the windows down a little. However if it is summer time we leave the van run with the a/c on and we can still lock it with my keys. We always park it where we can see it.

I do not have my camera with me so I do not have a picture but I will tell them about you. Missy is the sable colored one and she is 6 years old. Such a sweetie and she weighs 6 1/2 lbs. Rosie Lynn is the white one and she will be 2 on Christmas day. She weighs in at 3lbs 9ozs. They have the same momma but different daddy"s.

THEY BOTH ARE SPOILED ROTTEN, but neither one of them are barkers unless they see another doggie or any other animal in their yard. We but in a 74 x 12 ft run for them and they love to be outside. We are very protective of our babies. When I see someone with their dog in the bed of a truck I think they must not love their animals. They may be trained to not get out but while they are being driven down the road anything could hit them or a rock could put their eye out. I have even seen them in trucks on leashes.

You just never know so please let your pet know you love them by keeping them safe. If we were to be in an accident I would rather have them in a crate than flying all over the car and getting hurt.
